The Beatoads is a modular game consisting of minifigures playing different instruments. Each minifigure can be assigned a tune from the app, and by joining and adding different characters to the band, users can build their own song and sing along. The game is designed for children aged 8 to 14 with a passion for music.
Once the concept was established, all characters and the platform were modeled, 3D printed and painted, the Arduino system was programmed, and the electronic components were soldered. Following prototype testing, the game application was designed in Figma and the interactions were prototyped in ProtoPie.
The project was completed with the direction, filming, and editing of a promotional video.
Beatods is an interactive toy where each figurine base is embedded with a unique resistor, allowing the Arduino Uno base to recognize it when magnets close the circuit. To play, users place their favorite characters on the stage, assign a specific melody to each one through the app, and start the music. By positioning the phone behind the stage, the toy transforms into a playful, collaborative music experience that invites users to sing along to the song they created.
Each music track was specially composed and recorded for the project, ensuring that all tracks are compatible with each other.
