Packo is the result of a one week design challenge. The goal was to think and design an app dedicated to group travel among friends,  that lets you plan a trip, log expenses and settle them with ease in one convenient ecosystem.

The app is organized in 3 main pages:

  • The Overview, where users can vote polls, share notes and make shopping lists for the trip
  • The Expenses, where users can see their balance, the group payment history and add expenses.
  • The Plan, where the trip stops are listed and added, so everyone is on the same page.

The UI and flows of the app were conceived with the following  design principles:

  • Simplicity and reliability as key design drivers
  • Usage of familiar patterns and mental models
  • Clear sections & useful tools

Icons
The icons are in the revived skeumorphic new AirBnb style, and were made with AI.

Wireflow
In the wireframe flow, users add a new friend, run a real-time poll to choose where to have dinner, then they split the bill with custom amounts and settle their debts.
